As the Chief Technology Officer for Anytime Fitness Asia, you lead the technology agenda across the Inspire Brands Asia network, with primary accountability for member and consumer technology and the technology ecosystem supporting franchise operations. The role connects digital platforms, payment infrastructure, developers, global technology partners and internal systems into a scalable and integrated ecosystem. AI and automation are used as practical enablers to improve member experience, franchise operations and organisational effectiveness.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Member and Consumer Technology
Defines and delivers the roadmap for member applications, platforms and digital touchpoints across the member journey
Simplifies and integrates the technology ecosystem to improve acquisition, onboarding, access, engagement, payments and retention
Translates member and operational pain points into scalable technology solutions
Partners with developers and technology providers to deliver new capabilities and continuously improve existing platforms
Identifies practical opportunities to use AI, automation and data to improve member experience and operational effectiveness
Ensures technology investment delivers measurable member, operational and commercial value
Franchise Technology and Operational Transformation
Develops a scalable technology architecture that supports the continued growth of the Anytime Fitness network across Asia
Reviews and streamlines systems across franchise and club operations, reducing fragmentation and unnecessary complexity
Partners closely with Anytime Fitness LLC and global technology teams to align global platforms with regional business requirements
Leads relationships with developers, technology vendors, platform providers and strategic technology partners
Oversees technology relating to payment gateways, integrations and membership transactions
Uses technology, AI and automation to simplify franchise operations, reduce manual work and improve decision making
Establishes technology standards and governance that enable effective deployment across multiple markets
Corporate IT and Technology Governance
Provides strategic oversight of the corporate IT function, infrastructure and technology partners
Ensures appropriate standards for cybersecurity, data protection, access management and business continuity
Drives practical adoption of AI and automation across corporate functions to improve productivity and efficiency
Establishes appropriate governance and guardrails for the responsible use of AI and emerging technologies
Oversees technology procurement, licensing, vendor management and technology risk
AI Enablement
Identifies where AI can practically improve how members, franchisees, club teams and corporate functions work
Embeds AI and automation into workflows where there is a clear business problem, practical application and measurable value
Uses AI to simplify processes, automate repetitive work, improve access to information and support better decision making
Evaluates emerging AI solutions with a focus on usability, security, scalability and commercial relevance
Strategic Technology Leadership
Develops a clear multiyear technology strategy aligned with the organization’s growth ambitions
Translates business priorities into a focused and commercially disciplined technology roadmap
Advises senior leadership on technology investments, emerging capabilities, opportunities and risks
Builds strong partnerships across Operations, Commercial, Finance, Marketing, HR and country leadership
Determines when the organization should build, buy, integrate, automate or simplify technology
Champions technology as an enabler of better member experiences, stronger franchise operations and more productive teams
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Significant senior technology leadership experience within a multi-market consumer, franchise, retail, fitness, hospitality or similarly distributed organization
Strong experience with consumer applications, digital platforms and integrated technology ecosystems
Experience transforming complex or fragmented technology environments
Strong understanding of systems integration, payments, data, cybersecurity and technology governance
Demonstrated ability to build credibility and influence across external stakeholders, including global partners, vendors, developers, franchisees and senior business leaders
Strong relationship management skills, with the confidence to represent the organisation externally and navigate competing stakeholder priorities
Highly customer and operations focused, with a strong understanding of how technology impacts the day to day experience of customers, franchisees and frontline teams
Practical experience using AI and automation to improve business operations
Strong commercial judgement and the ability to prioritise technology investments based on business value
Ability to translate complex technology topics into clear business decisions
Visible, collaborative and comfortable operating close to the business rather than leading technology purely as a back of house function
Strategic mindset combined with the willingness to remain close to execution
Preferred
Experience within franchise, fitness, membership, retail or consumer lifestyle businesses
Experience operating across Asia or other complex multi-market environments
